What is WISE Within?

WISE Within is a structured mentorship program developed by WISE to foster professional growth, career development, and meaningful connections among women working in the sports and events industries.

Our mission is to create a space where women can learn, grow, and navigate their career paths with the support and guidance of experienced mentors. Through thoughtful mentor-mentee pairings, one-on-one meetings, and group networking opportunities, WISE Within empowers women to pursue their professional ambitions while strengthening their network within the industry.

WISE Within is currently not accepting applications.

Please note: The WISE Within Mentorship Program and the National WISE Within Mentorship Program are two separate programs. The first is based in the Indianapolis WISE Chapter and the latter is a National WISE Mentor Program. Click here for more information on the National program.

How It Works

The WISE Within Mentorship Program spans six months (traditionally August - January, ending with the Speed Mentoring Round Table event) and is designed to foster organic, mentee-driven relationships. Each mentee is paired with a mentor based on career goals, interests, and professional backgrounds. Together, they work to navigate challenges, explore opportunities, and identify actionable steps toward career growth.

The program is intentionally flexible, allowing each pair to create a cadence and communication style that works best for them — whether that’s meeting once a month for coffee, hopping on virtual calls, or attending networking events together.

The relationship is mentee-driven and mentor-guided, meaning mentees are encouraged to take ownership of their experience by setting goals, initiating meetings, and driving conversations, while mentors provide guidance, advice, and support along the way.

What You Can Expect

  • 6-month structured mentorship experience
  • At least six one-on-one meetings (in person or virtual)
  • Networking opportunities with fellow mentors and mentees
  • Exclusive group events, including a mid-point and closing networking celebration
